Predisan Has Been Blessed By Volunteer Service

Over the years, Predisan has been blessed by the work of vocational missionaries, interns and individual service workers.

The work of these volunteers has had a broad scope – medical personnel and evangelists serving for one, two or more years as short-term missionaries – college students serving for a summer or part of a summer as interns – and individual workers serving for days or weeks from a range of professions – physicians, nurses, engineers, laboratory technologists, builders, plumbers and others.

Internships

Each summer, college interns travel to Catacamas to be of aid and service. In return, they gain valuable experience, a broader worldview and exposure to Christianity in action.

Knowledge of Spanish is strongly recommended and is important to the work of interns. Interns not fluent in Spanish may need to hire a translator during their time in Honduras. Right, Adam Awtrey, a summer intern from Missouri, visits in a home to discuss dental hygiene.

If you are interested in serving as an intern at Predisan, please download and read the handbook below carefully and read more about Predisan on this web site. If after that, you feel serving at Predisan would be a good fit for you, please e-mail Teresa, in Hondurastmejia@predisan.org

Individual Workers

If you are interested in serving at Predisan for days or weeks either by yourself or with several others to help with a special task, please review the handbook below and contact please e-mail Teresa, in Hondurastmejia@predisan.org

Individuals, both medical professionals and others with talents to share, have taken on varied projects – building repairs; medical staff training; chaplain training; seminars and Bible teaching; improvements to electrical, plumbing and air conditioning systems; specialty medical care; horticulture and other needed assignments.

Short-term Missionaries

If you are interested in serving as a short-term missionary for one or more years at Predisan, please download and read the handbook below carefully and read more about Predisan on this web site. Short-term missionaries must have a knowledge of Spanish.

If, after reviewing the handbook and web site, you are interested in the possibilities of serving, please contact please e-mail Teresa, in Honduras – tmejia@predisan.org. In the past, short-term missionaries have worked in nursing and medical care, physical therapy, reforestation and technology as well as in spiritual outreach and formation.
