Keydy Flores arrived at Predisan’s door in 1998 as an 18-year-old doing her required month’s practicum for a vocational degree as a bi-lingual secretary. A year later, a secretarial position at Predisan opened, and Keydy was hired. Her agility and efficiency in working the telephone, the radio, the computer and the front door, as well as in writing and editing were welcomed by Predisan staff. All was done with a famous smile.

Raised by her parents along with four siblings, Keydy was the first to seek a job and work outside the home. Her older brother worked on her dad’s farm, but left Catacamas seeking work in the USA. As a young woman, Keydy was presented with all the temptations that lead many youth to problems, hardship and pain.

As an employee of Predisan, however, Keydy found new influences that strengthened her will to avoid this popular and mistaken path. Doris Clark and Dr. Amanda Madrid, her bosses, each took time to talk with Keydy, listen to her, and offer her a voice of wisdom and love.

Keydy wanted to go on to study in the university but did not have a certified high school degree. She, along with six other students, enrolled in a high school correspondence program facilitated by Doris, and all graduated after one year. At the same time, Doris led a weekly Bible study for the office staff. Keydy began to study the Bible and later shared what she was learning with Predisan employees.

Keydy married her steady boyfriend, Mariano Guillen in December, 2004, and they celebrated the birth of their daughter, Mariana, in December 2005. Keydy continued taking classes at the national university at night and also continued to work full time as a Predisan secretary. She balanced the care of her young daughter, university studies, marriage, professional responsibilities, and all was done with her famous smile.

keydys-baptismKeydy graduated from the university in 2008 with a degree in business administration. Searching for the most important things in her life, she continued to strengthen her faith and base her life on the biblical principals that had been weaved into her life and person. Attending a small non-denominational church, Keydy found more and more the need to act out her faith in God through participation in the church.

Incorporating her 10 years of work experience, her university degree, and her natural talents as an organizer and team player, Keydy was named this year to a new role as Predisan Director of Operations. Along with this path of growth, Keydy has strengthened her faith and experience with God.

On March 15, 2009, Keydy was baptized in water giving testimony to the new commitment in her life (above). Keydy’s life has been influenced and molded by many instruments of God, and He has been faithful to continue the good work in which many have participated.

Keydy’s life has great purpose in God’s kingdom, and her faithfulness to God and her submission in being molded sheds light on others.
